VPPPA Conference Well Under Way in Texas

Tuesday's agenda includes a Casino Night, several exhibitor product demos in the Exhibitor Product Theater, board of directors voting, morning and afternoon workshops, VPPPA regional networking meetings, and sessions on topics ranging from OSHA's National Emphasis Program on amputations and machine guarding to confined space rescue.

GRAPEVINE, Texas -- Some all-day pre-conference workshops and several half-day workshops kicked off the 31st Annual National VPPPA Safety & Health Conference, #VPPPA31, taking place at the Gaylord Texan through Aug. 27. Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and other workshops were set for Aug. 23, and the full range of educational sessions will begin Aug. 25.

Monday activities included the opening keynote by motivational speaker Jim Davidson and the reception opening the expo from 3-5 p.m. Davidson's talk drew a large crowd, and the expo floor was crowded during the reception, which featured a tasty menu of ziti pasta, chicken and beef fajitas, artichoke mezzaluna, creamy risotto, pork and roast beef sliders, whipped sweet potatoes, and more.
