NSC Honoring 2014 Rising Stars

"This year, we recognize a talented group of individuals at our Congress & Expo," said NSC President and CEO Deborah A.P. Hersman. "These young professionals are rising to meet emerging safety challenges and are the future leaders of the safety movement."

SAN DIEGO -- The National Safety Council announced this year's class of NSC Rising Stars of Safety last week and will recognize those individuals Sept. 16 during the 2014 NSC Congress & Expo. The Rising Stars of Safety, now in its fifth year, is presented by DuPont Sustainable Solutions.

"We are pleased to continue our support of the NSC Rising Stars of Safety program, acknowledging the safety leaders of tomorrow," said James Weigand, president of DuPont Sustainable Solutions. "We offer our sincere congratulations to each of this year's honorees, who are truly making a difference in the world with their passion and talent."

The program recognizes future leaders for their dedication and influence in safety. There are 41 honorees this year, selected for having shown a strong commitment to promoting a cycle of continuous improvement and creating initiatives focused on measureable outcomes, which are key components of the council's Journey to Safety Excellence. "This year, we recognize a talented group of individuals at our Congress & Expo," said NSC President and CEO Deborah A.P. Hersman.
