OSHA Partners with VCC to Enhance Construction Safety

OSHA and VCC will work together to ensure safety at a 120,000-square-foot Bass Pro construction site.

For safer construction environments, OSHA and VCC LLC have partnered up for the duration of a Bass Pro Shop project in Little Rock, Ark.

Construction on a new, 120,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shop location will begin in December.

"This partnership affirms a shared commitment toward providing a safer work environment on this project," said Carlos Reynolds, OSHA's area director in Little Rock, in a statement on the OSHA website. "This agreement will help to ensure that goal is accomplished."

VCC, a construction company based in Little Rock employs 270 workers and is valued at $450 million. Teaming with up to reduce construction-related injuries, VCC and OSHA will increase the levels of onsite safety and hope to prevent workplace injuries.

This endeavor is part of OSHA’s Strategic Partnership Program that forms partnerships with companies to diminish workplace hazards, especially in high-rick environments like construction sites.
