Food Safety Experts Coming to Orlando Next Week

Diamond Sponsor DNV Business Assurance says the Global Food Safety Conference is the most important event of the year that is focused on this topic.

A top-notch food safety event featuring experts from around the world will take place next week in Orlando. With the theme "Advancing Food Safety Through Collaboration," the three-day Global Food Safety Conference begins Feb. 15.

DNV Business Assurance is a Diamond Sponsor of the event and plans to offer attendees its expertise in food safety certification. Cargill, Ecolab, and Pepsico also are sponsors.

The speakers' list is filled with experts and executives from U.S. companies and around the world, including Kevin McKinley, ISO deputy secretary-general; Cindy Jiang, senior director of global food safety and quality for McDonald's Corp; Charlie Arnot, CEO of the Center for Food Integrity; Pamela Bailey, president and CEO of the Grocery Manufacturers Association; Peter Begg, director of global quality programs for Kraft Foods; Marc Cwikowski, food safety director for Coca-Cola Co.; Tim Jackson, food safety director for Nestle North America; and Michael Taylor, deputy commissioner for foods at FDA.

According to DNV Business Assurance, the conference is the most important food safety event of the year because it offers "knowledge-exchange, thought-leadership and a great networking opportunity." It will take place at the Hotel Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando. More than 700 food safety specialists from more than 60 countries are expected to attend.
